Gaze is a hardware & software system designed for long-distance couples to emotionally connect to each other while being physically apart. From user studies, I realized they need embodied interaction better than the distance of text messages and more convenient than video chat. Therefore, I developed a live avatar of eyes that projects the loving gaze from one device to another and phone cases allowing passing gestures. This is my first project trying to rapid-prototype with Arduino and image recognition software.
